Screen Printing FAQ
What type of printing do you do? Is it iron on?
We do only high quality screen printing. Our prints, with proper care, will last for years without flaking or washing out, at times, outlasting the life of the garment. We do not use iron on transfers.
How long will your printing last?

Do you provide the garments or do I have to supply them?
We provide the garments for your order. The price you get on your quote will be the price of the garment an printing combined. We can get virtually any brand of apparel to meet you needs. Prices will vary through styles and brands. We can also print on apparel provided by you. To read more on customer provided apparel, click here.
How much are your setup fees?
For standard prints meeting the minimum quantity, we DO NOT charge setup fees.
In some cases where extra setup is required for a certain print or location, setup fees may apply as well as for under minimum runs.
Is there a minimum quantity I have to order?
Absolute minimum is 6 pieces of the same design. To recieve competitive prices, you must adhere to the below minimums. The same print on each piece.
1 Color - 30
2 Color - 40
3 Color - 50
4 Color - 60
Do I have to order all the same size and color of garment?
Nope. You can mix and match sizes and colors as needed on most apparel.
Just remember, if the ink colors being used have to be changed you will incure extra charges.
Do I have to order in multiples of 12?
No, you can order however many you require as long as you meet the minimum.
What print sizes can I use?
Standard print sizes are 10.75" tall X 12.5" wide OR 10.75" wide X 12.5" tall. If your desired print size on the garment falls outside this size, and oversize print charge will be accessed.
What locations on the garment can I have printed?
You can have almost any location on the garment screen printed. Complex locations such as sleeves, hoods, over seams and over zippers will vary in print cost. Click here to read more about print locations.
Can you print all over the garment?
We do printing with a standard screen press, we are not able to do "all over prints".
How is price determined for printed garments?
Price of screen printed garments are figured by the quantity being ordered, number of ink colors used, number of print locations, size and complexity of print, and the brand/type of garment being printed.
What is the standard turn around time?
Average turn around time from approval to ship is 7-10 business days. Rush orders are available. Read more here.

What is Special Effect ink?
We have a variety of ink available for extra cost per piece that produces different effects. From glitter to glow in the dark, we can make your print completely unique. When email us or calling us on a quote mention that you have interest in these special inks.
How do I order?
Look through our online catalog and pick the type, color and sizes of the apparel you want your design printed on. Email us the design and order or give us a call 913-364-5010. For art requirements click here.
What types of files do you accept?
We accept all kinds of files of your design.
(.TIF .BMP .GIF .JPG .PSD .EPS .PNG .PSP .PDF)
All files must be at least 200 dpi and at the size you want it printed on the apparel.
If you send us graphics pulled from the web at screen resolution (72 dpi) you will incure art charges to make the graphics screen printable. Read more about art requirements here.
How do I pay for my order and when?
We accept all major credit cards, business checks, money orders and cash. Click here to read more about payment options.
All orders must be 100% paid before we press the order. We will not press an order however, without your proper approval.
Can I get a printed sample of my design?
Because of the cost and time involved in printing just one shirt, we cannot print a single sample. You may order a minimum of 6 pieces of your design at a premium price.
Can I get my order rushed?
Yes, extra cost will be involved for production and shipping. Read more about this option here.
Can you guarentee UPS getting my order to me when they say?
Unfortunately no. We have no control over the UPS delivery schedule. We will ship your order as agreed upon. Occassionally UPS have delays, it is best to plan ahead and factor in a few days ahead of your deadline.
Can I pick up my order locally?
Yes. Our shop is located in Leavenworth , Ks. You may arrange to pick up your order at our shop or opt for free delivery if you are in the KC area.
Can I have the screens used in my order?
All screens used in the production of your order are the property of Sonofagun Press. We reclaim all of our screens after each order, destroying the stencil. If you would like to purchase the screens involved in your order, it can be arranged.
What if the ink color is different than what I viewed in my proof?
Colors on computer monitor vary from machine to machine. The colors in the proof you recieve or the art you send us might vary a bit from what is printed. Sonofagun Press is not reponsible for this varience. If you would like a color sample of the ink, they are available at no cost with a paid apparel order.
I need to cancel my order, can I?
If you just want to get out of your order after you have already committed to it, don't bother. However, we are reasonable, if something went horribly wrong and you find out you don't need the apparel order after all, call us and see what we can do. If we havent printed the order yet, you may be able to get out of it with just a 20% restock fee. Sometimes if it is early on in your order, the garments may not be pulled at our warehouse yet and you can get out without a restock fee. Any art charges that occured however must be paid in full.
